Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) carefully before using the Hermeneia website or enrolling in any course.

By using our website or registering for a course, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our site or enrol.

 

1. About Us

This site is operated by GraceLife London, a UK-registered charity. Hermeneia Bible Training Centre is a trading name used by GraceLife London to deliver theological education and training.

All references to “Hermeneia” throughout these Terms refer to the activities and services of GraceLife London conducted under that trading name.

 

2. Registration and Use of Service

To enrol in a course offered by Hermeneia Bible Training Centre:

  • You must register using accurate and complete information.

  • By registering, you enter into a contractual agreement with GraceLife London, operating as Hermeneia Bible Training Centre.

  • You must be at least 16 years old to register and participate. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

  • Course delivery is facilitated via Google Classroom, a third-party platform provided by Google LLC. By enrolling, you agree to comply with Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

As part of the registration process, you may be asked to provide an emergency contact. You confirm that you have obtained the consent of the individual whose contact details you provide, or that they are aware their information is being submitted for emergency use only. This information will only be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy and for safeguarding or health and safety purposes.

We reserve the right to reject, suspend, or terminate your registration if any information you provide is found to be false, misleading, or incomplete, or if you are found to be ineligible under these Terms.

 

3. Intellectual Property

All content on this site—including teaching materials, videos, images, and written resources—is protected by UK and international copyright laws.

  • Unless otherwise stated, all rights are reserved by GraceLife London.

  • You may not copy, share, distribute, or adapt our content without prior written consent.

  • Any content you submit (e.g. assignments or comments) remains your intellectual property, but by submitting it you grant GraceLife London a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, edit, or publish it in connection with our training and ministry activities.

 

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload or transmit unlawful, defamatory, offensive, or harmful material;

  • Violate the rights of others, including intellectual property or privacy;

  • Introduce viruses, malware, or interfere with the website’s operation;

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other user accounts.

     

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

 

5. User Submissions & Contributions

We welcome interaction with our teaching materials through comments, assignments, or testimonials. However, we reserve the right to review, moderate, or remove any user-generated content at our sole discretion. This includes content that is off-topic, offensive, inaccurate, or in breach of our values or UK law.

 

6. External Links

We may include links to external platforms (e.g., Paperform, YouTube, Google Classroom, etc.). These are provided for your convenience, but GraceLife London is not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or terms of use of those external sites.

Course access may require you to create a Google Account and use Google Classroom. GraceLife London is not responsible for the functionality, data handling, or service interruptions of Google platforms.

 

7. Data Protection & Privacy

We process your personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

  • We collect personal data such as your name, email address, and course history for the purposes of course administration, communication, and recordkeeping.

8. Donations, Payments & Refunds

If you make a donation or pay for a course:

  • Payments are securely processed by third-party providers.

  • Donations are non-refundable.

  • Refunds for paid courses may be offered at the sole discretion of GraceLife London, if requested within 14 days of purchase, unless the course has already started or digital content has been accessed.

 

9. Limitation of Liability

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We do not guarantee that the site will be error-free or uninterrupted.

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or participation in courses.

  • Our total liability to you in any circumstance will not exceed £50.

 

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify users through the site or by email. Continued use of the site or enrolment in a course after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

 

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
